If you have a larger budget, I recommend flying with Qatar Airways. This luxury airline has one of the best loyalty programs. Still, they also offer amazing service, and the layovers and lounges at Doha International Airport are incredibly comfortable.
Emirates does indeed offer a route between the United Kingdom and Nepal. It is, however, incredibly important to note that part of this route will be operated by FlyDubai, which is a less than great airline. Especially as their flights to Nepal from the UK are often sold at a similar price to Qatar, it is important to make an informed choice! More about this later on.
Best Airline from the United Kingdom to Nepal for trekking

Qatar Airways offers their customers 25kg on their cheapest tickets and 30kg on their normal tickets. When flying business, you will be entitled to 40kg. If you are part of the Qatar Airways loyalty scheme, you might be entitled to more luggage. Silver members get 15 kg extra, gold members enjoy 20kg extra luggage, and platinum members get 25kg extra.

Turkish Airlines
Turkish Airlines is another great airline to consider when heading to Nepal on a trek or expedition. Turkish Airlines offers 30 kg checked baggage to its customers in economy class and 40 in business.

However, it is important to note that it is not as easy to move through the ranks with the miles and smiles membership card with Qatar’s Privilege Club. Best Airline for people moving from the UK to Nepal
Are you moving from the United Kingdom to Nepal? That’s amazing! You will have to book good flights to Nepal from the UK as you will probably need to take quite a bit of luggage. If you are moving from the United Kingdom to Nepal, I recommend looking at Qatar Airways and Turkish Airways.
Qatar Airways
If you are moving to Nepal from the United Kingdom and planning on going back to the UK at least twice a year, I would recommend starting off how you mean to go on: with Qatar Airways. The Privilege Club is amazing, and my husband and I were able to become silver within a year. This allows us 15 kg extra (we can now both take 40kg each), have free lounge access in quite a lot of airports and have already been upgraded to Qatar’s world-class Q-suites.
Turkish Airlines
If you are not going to travel back to the UK multiple times a year, you can choose Turkish Airlines for the extra 5kg.
If you are travelling with your pet, I would also recommend booking yourself onto Turkish Airlines, as Turkish Airlines is easy when it comes to pets. You can even take your small cat or small dog with you on some routes into the cabin.
Best Airlines for flights to Nepal from the UK
An overview of the best airlines to travel to Nepal from the UK!
Qatar Airways
As you might already assume: Qatar Airways is personally my preferred Airline to travel to Nepal from the UK. Mainly because of their loyalty program. The Airline has daily flights to Nepal from the UK with a stopover in Doha.
Whether you travel in economy or business, Qatar Airways offers an amazing experience. In the economy, the seats are wide. There is also quite a lot of legroom, and the food is delicious. Qatar offers a nice sparkling cava and a selection of wines, juices and spirits. I also love their entertainment system as they offer a large selection of new films. Last but not least, Qatar also offers clients a small pouch with earplugs and an eye mask, and the toilets are particularly well-kept and clean.
Turkish Airlines
When we lived in Dubai, we often chose Turkish Airlines as they offer quite cheap flights to a large range of destinations. Their planes are comfortable, and the food is great. The seats are not as wide or as comfortable as Qatar, but it’s honestly great.
Emirates and Flydubai
Emirates is another airline you can use for flights to Nepal from the UK. Although Emirates is a great airline, there is a problem travelling to Nepal from the UK through Dubai.
Emirates themselves do not fly to Nepal. Part of their route is operated by FlyDubai, an expensive low-cost airline in the middle east. It sadly means you will need to switch terminals in Dubai. You will need to go from Terminal 3 to Terminal 2 – arguably the worst and oldest terminal of Dubai International Airport. In addition, you won’t be able to buy extra luggage at a lower rate beforehand as you would with Qatar Airways or Turkish Airways. The customer service of FlyDubai is, in our experience, often lacking.
We have travelled with FlyDubai to Nepal twice now, and both times the planes were pretty old – just a peg above RyanAir. Because we booked through Emirates, we could get food on board, while people who booked directly through FlyDubai would have to buy their own food and drink. It is honestly not a great experience. As the Emirates flights are often the same price as the Turkish Airlines or Qatar Flights, I would recommend going with one of those.
Conclusion:
When booking flights to Nepal from the UK, you should first look at Turkish Airlines or Qatar Airways. If you want Cheap Flights to Nepal, it is best to use a comparison website to sniff out alternative routes to travel to Nepal from the UK.
